Free science games for kids, kindergarten to 8th grade

Run fun experiments, one science topic from your grade at a time.

Students are the scientist in their own lab. Every experiment is one science topic from their grade: ask the question, make a prediction, run the test, read the results and pick the best explanation. Labs from the kitchen to a space observatory.

Science game questions

Is the science game free?
Yes. Kitchen Lab is free from start to finish, all 11 experiments, with no ads and no account. Members get every lab, earn reward points and prizes, and keep each student's progress in their account.
What grades is it for?
Kindergarten to grade 8. The science comes from the student's grade, one topic per experiment, from the same topics as our lesson library.
Does my student need to type?
No. Every answer is a tap, a drag or a slider, with big buttons that work on phones and tablets. Questions and explanations can be read aloud.
Are the experiments safe?
Yes. Every experiment happens on screen. Optional try-at-home ideas use only safe household things, always with an adult, and never heat, flames, chemicals, sharp tools or electrical outlets.
How does it decide how much help to give?
A three-question warm-up at the start of each session suggests Guided, On my own or Challenge. You or your student can change it any time; during a session the game only offers a change.
Can I open a specific topic?
Yes. Every science lesson in the lesson library has a Practice this in The Experiments You Run button that opens an experiment on that topic.
